Save the Date for your diary: Saturday 23rd June, 11am – 4pm, at the Hospitality Marquee, Nottingham Rugby Club, 1 Holme Road, Lady Bay, West Bridgford, NG2 5AA

The Lady Bay Vintage Mid-century Fair is unique to Nottingham for the breadth and quality of goods on offer.  Styles stretch from the 1920s through to the 1980s, with the emphasis on mid-century and design classics. It’s one of the only places in Nottingham where you can source good quality mid-century furniture, you’ll see tables, chairs, shelving & sideboards, to artwork, homeware, kitchenalia, textiles, fabrics, lighting, art deco, 20th century ceramics, studio pottery, vintage film posters, glass, industrial furniture, signage, brocante,  French antiques and frankly pretty much everything.

Whether you’re a collector, an avid vintage connoisseur or just looking for something unique and quirky, there’s bound to be something cool to tempt you on the day, with over 60 exhibitors showing off their wares at our biggest event to date, stalls indoors and out on the idyllic lawns of Nottingham rugby club.

“We have small independents coming from across the UK showing off their retro wares” said Paul Rose from Lady Bay Vintage, “ we take pride in there always being lots of new things to see, and with a huge cross section of  goods to suit all budgets we really believe that there’s something there for everyone”.

Lady Bay Vintage only run two fairs a year, Summer and Winter, “ do put us in your diary so you don’t miss us, we’d  recommend arriving early on the day so you get the best of what’s on offer” he said.

Huddersfield Tuesday flea market.

Held every Tuesday, the fleamarket at Huddersfield market, has a mixture of antique, retro, collectable and second hand goods.

Early arrival is recommended, as many of the best finds are snapped up as soon as they are unpacked! I have visited here many times in the past and have always managed to buy. There is always a good selection on offer, from small pieces of furniture  to collectables. Many of the traders stand the market every week, come rain or shine, together with casual sellers (who are mostly here during the warmer weather!).

All kinds of collectables are on sale here, die-cast toys, model railways, postcards, ephemera, pottery and porcelain, metalwares, old luggage, vintage clothing and much more, making this a must visit when you are in the area.

(Also held on a Saturday, but I’ve not been to this one, so cannot comment on what it’s like.)
